Ethical, Vegan & Delicious: My Favorite European Chocolate Brands (from pralines to filled date-sweetened bars)

Jokes aside! Let’s be honest — I’m always craving chocolate. It’s one of those things I can justify as “research” for the shop, right? 😅 So yes, stocking wholesome vegan chocolate might be my most delicious business decision yet — part passion, part self-preservation. Because now, I get to call having a stash of chocolate on hand “work.”
But in all seriousness, I couldn’t be prouder to finally stock three incredible European chocolate brands that truly align with my values — vegan, ethical, sustainable, small-batch, and actually good for you. These aren’t your average “vegan” chocolates loaded with sugar and additives pretending to be healthy. These are genuinely nourishing, made with ingredients that love your body back.
As a small business myself (based in Portugal 🌿), I love collaborating with other independent makers who care deeply about what they create. There’s something special about supporting each other — real people crafting real food with intention, quality, and heart.
So, let me introduce you to the three beautiful brands now gracing my shelves (and, truthfully, my snack drawer).
🍫 DJOON date pralines – “No sugar crash, just bliss.”
Djoon is a Berlin-based brand on a mission to reinvent chocolate without refined sugar. Their chocolates are sweetened only with dates — no syrups, no stevia, no artificial anything. Just the natural sweetness of fruit.
Each bonbon is made with organic cacao from fair-trade sources and minimal, nutrient-rich ingredients. Think almonds, hazelnuts, oats, coconut, and pure cacao butter — that’s it. 🌸 TREATFULS – “Desserts that love you back.”
Treatfuls are handmade in the Germany by a small, women-led team who care deeply about balance — creating treats that feel joyful but nourish your body at the same time. Every bite is plant-based, gluten-free, refined-sugar-free, and made with organic ingredients.
Their Bliss Bites and Chocolate Cups are almost too pretty to eat — made with raw cacao, nut butters, oats, and dates. No preservatives, no gums, no weird stuff — just pure, wholesome energy.
A few standouts I can’t get enough of:

🌙 COSMIC DEALER – “Ayurvedic chocolate rituals.”
Ah, Cosmic Dealer. Based in France and infused with Ayurvedic wisdom, this brand turns chocolate into a ritual. Each bar is raw, organic, vegan, and minimally processed — designed to balance body and mind.
They use cacao sourced ethically from small cooperatives and combine it with botanicals, seeds, and spices inspired by ancient Ayurvedic practices. Their chocolate is lightly sweetened with coconut blossom sugar or dates, making it rich in minerals and gentle on blood sugar.
