❓ Is the Blue Lotus used in this tincture certified organic?

Short answer: No, it's not certified Organic (noun), it's just actually organic (adjective).

The Blue Lotus used in this tincture is grown naturally and sustainably using Permaculture principles and organic agricultural practices. That means:
no pesticides, no synthetic fertilizers, and no chemicals, ever. However, our producers have not purchased the right to use the “Certified Organic” trademark, which is a regulated label that requires third-party certification and significant fees.
It’s worth noting that even “certified organic” products are legally allowed to contain a threshold of certain synthetic substances (yep, really). We don’t play that game.

So while we can’t legally call it Certified Organic, this tincture is made with Blue Lotus grown beyond organic standards.
Permaculture doesn’t need to pay for a certificate to prove it’s doing the most.

❓ Is this tincture food-grade? Can I consume it?

Due to current EU and international regulations, Blue Lotus is not classified as a food, supplement, or ingestible product, and so this tincture is sold as a non-food item.

This is a legal classification issue, not a reflection of quality or safety. Nearly all Blue Lotus products, flowers or tinctures, are sold this way because the plant isn’t officially listed as a food/supplement in many regulatory systems.

That said, this tincture is made with:

  • Blue Lotus (Nymphaea caerulea)

  • Ethanol (alcohol)

  • Distilled water

…and nothing else.
It’s crafted with high-quality ingredients and traditional extraction methods.
We don’t make any medical claims or suggest internal use, but historically, Blue Lotus has been used in many ceremonial and spiritual contexts, often infused, steeped, or blended with wine or other botanicals.

🧿 Use Intuitively & Respectfully

Whether you're using this tincture in ritual, on your altar, for energetic work, or simply in reverence for the flower's ancient symbolism, let your intuition and tradition guide you.
We trust that those seeking Blue Lotus already know its beauty and mystery.
